4th Annual Care for Cops Motorcycle Ride Looks Forward to Largest Turn-Out.

Atlanta GA. – April 1, 2003 – Over 600 riders are expected to participate in one of the South-East’s largest fundraisers for law enforcement, The Annual Care for Cops Motorcycle Ride this Saturday April 5.
The ride, which leaves from Stone Mountain Harley Davidson on Highway 78 and concludes at Lake Lanier Islands Resort, features bikes and riders from around the South-East, and also features a bike show and auction.
“We are very excited about the turn-out for this year’s event’” said Jarrette Burckhalter, the ride’s co-Chair. “We had already exceeded last year’s target with two weeks to go and we expect this event to be the biggest ever.”
With police escorts from a number of local law enforcement agencies the ride normally takes around 90 minutes to travel the route from Stone Mountain to Lake Lanier and includes classic and new bikes from American, Japanese and European manufacturers, as well as custom rides from around the world.
Care for Cops is a not-for-profit organization benefiting law enforcement agencies in the State of Georgia. This year’s beneficiaries include; Cobb, DeKalb and Gwinnett County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), The Georgia Security Council (GSC), The Metro Tech Taskforce, The GSC Network, The GSC Security Link, The Stop Identity Theft Network, The Bridging the Gap Project, Inc. (BTG) and The Gwinnett County Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association (GCCPAAA).
